Active Query Builder is a query builder component suite for Borland Delphi 6, 7, 2005 and C++ Builder 6 that allows your end-users to build complex SQL queries via an intuitive visual interface. It differs from other query builders by its powerful SQL parser that correctly handles SQL queries containing multiple nested joins and other fine points of SQL syntax. Another feature is the powerful graphical engine that allows you to build queries involving unions, nested joins and sub-queries.

Active Query Builder Standard Edition is a useful utility that allows you to produce SQL queries.

The interface of Active Query Builder for Delphi is similar to either MS-Access or SQL Server visual query construction interface, but is much more powerful compared to other similar components. The unique features of Active Query Builder for Delphi such as the ability to build queries with unions and sub-queries make it the best solution for professional developers.

Active Query Builder supports SQL Server, Oracle*, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Interbase/Firebird, SQLite, and ANSI-92 SQL dialects. The sophisticated Active SQL parser can translate any valid SQL statement into it's visual representation. You can use BDE, ADO and ZeosDBO database connectivity components and Generic event-driven metadata provider to get metadata information from any data source.

The component may be integrated into a Delphi or C++ Builder application with just a few lines of code. Unlike many other query building solutions for Delphi, Active Query Builder does not force the programmer to use the embedded data grid, SQL editor or anything else. Instead, it allows you to integrate any accompanying tools into your application as quickly and easily as possible. The product is shipped with a detailed help system and a demo application to help you quickly master the product.

There are two editions available: the Standard Edition and the Free Edition. The Free Edition is fully functional, but supports only the ANSI-92 SQL dialect. Output filters in RTF and HTML formats will not get in the Free Edition.

· Informix SQL dialect is supported now.
· ANSI SQL/89 dialect is supported now.
· New metadata provider for the Luxena Informix Data Access Components is added (http://www.luxena.com/).
· New metadata providers for the MicroOLAP Data Access Components for MySQL and PostgreSQL are added (http://microolap.com/).
· Correct handling of case sensitive identifiers is implemented.
· The interface of the OnGetFields event is changed. This change allows you to pass WideString field names as well as to store case sensitive field names.
· TacQueryBuilder, TacSQLBuilderPlainText: The new QuoteAllIdentifiers property is added. Setting them to True you'll get all identifiers in the query quoted.
· Many bugfixes in Oracle, Firebird and InterBase SQL dialects.
· Minor interface improvements.
