Although most installations now come in a Single File installation format, either an MSI or one EXE file, some installs still need to be bundled up, especially if it comes from a CD.

While repackaging with an application such as Wise is usually the preferred method, some installs can be zipped up into a self-extracting executable and the primary setup file called once the necessary setup files are extracted.

The Quick Install Maker bundles up an existing installation source directory into a self-extracting executable.

This simply means that it creates a zip file that will automatically extract its contents to a specified location. You can also specify the setup file to call with any parameters necessary to run a silent installation.

Once this process is complete you will have a single file installer that can easily be deployed with our Remote Software Installation Utility.
