Software for the teaching and learning of factoring (factorisation) of algebraic expressions, especially trinomials using the "cross" method. Students can practise on the "cross" method which provides extensive explanations and guidance, especially useful for beginners. It includes formulas for factorising perfect squares and difference of two squares.

Practices with simple sums to help understanding before actual practices. Can generate hundreds of sums for drills (up to 200 per session). Step by step guide for beginners to ensure they get the correct answers. It marks the sums automically and can print a detailed report after each session.

· A step by step interactive guide is provided to help the student do the factorisation if he has difficulties. The guide does not do the sum for the student but guides him along, providing feedback on his working.
