In the amazingly easy new Easy Mode all the difficult decisions are handled by the program. Monitoring the installation of programs and removing them couldn't be simpler.

In Expert Mode you get all the features that have made the predecessor programs one of the favorite tools of power users all over the world. In this mode you can use the program to monitor and reverse any changes made to your system between two points in time, not just program installations.

Ashampoo UnInstaller Platinum Suite works by creating two "snapshots" of your system, one before you install an application and another one directly afterwards.

These snapshots record the entire status of your computer system, including all registry entries, the locations, dates, sizes and versions of all files and the contents of all configuration files.

After creating the second snapshot the program then compares it with the first and records all the differences in a special file called an "installation log file", or "log file" for short.

When you tell Ashampoo UnInstaller Platinum Suite to uninstall the application it loads a previously created this log file and uses the information it contains to restore everything on your system to the way it was before you installed the application.

Requirements:
· Ashampoo UnInstaller Platinum Suite is fully compatible with Windows® NT4 (service pack 3 or higher required), 2000 and XP. You can use the program for monitoring installations both in administrator mode and when you are logged on as a normal user with less than administrator rights. However, administrator rights will generally be required for uninstalling applications and restoring changes to your system. This is because uninstalling and restoring almost always involves deletion or alteration of many registry and file items that are protected by the operating system.
